Patuxent Sailing Club

The Navy Patuxent Sailing Club (NPSC) is a non-profit private organization operating aboard Naval Air Station Patuxent River in support of the base's Navy Recreation Sailing Program. It operates the majority of MWR sailboats, offers ASA-certified sail training, and is affiliated with the U.S. Naval Sailing Association.

The NPSC offers cruising, racing, social sails, fellowship and instruction. Membership is open to all with base access, and is free to enlisted E-5 and below.

'Learn to Sail' Classes

??Learn to sail with classes offered by the Navy Patuxent Sailing Club!

  • Taught by American Sailing Association-certified instructors
  • Open to adults with base access and dependents ages 14+
  • Beginning, intermediate and advanced instruction available
  • No experience necessary

 

Classes are offered at a significant savings compared to traditional sailing schools. The Navy Patuxent Sailing Club rate is $300; Active Duty/veterans receive a $50 discount. E5 and below pay just $25, which is refunded at the end of the class.

Membership in the Navy Patuxent Sailing Club is required in order to register for 'Learn to Sail Classes'
