Pax River Chaplain's Office to Hold Spiritual Trainings, Services

Picture of St. Nicholas ChapelThe NAS Patuxent River Chaplain's office has announced that programs designed to provide social, physical and spiritual support will be offered in February and March:

SafeTALK: Feb. 19, 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Religious Program Center Bldg. 401
SafeTALK is a training that equips people to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and be able to connect them with further help.

ARSENAL: Feb. 26, 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Religious Program Center Bldg. 401
Stress causes heart disease, high blood pressure, weight problems, poor performance, depression and more. ARSENAL participants will build an understanding of personal and professional stressors, see the connection between stress and work performance, and focus on the power of the seven best practices to boost resiliency.

Ash Wednesday Service: March 5, 11:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Chapel
Chapel services provide the opportunity for service members and their families to grow in their faith, build healthy relationships and better their spiritual fitness.

ASIST: March 25-26, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Religious Program Center Bldg. 401
ASIST is a two-day intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize risk and learn how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide
