Tickets

Update: As of April 29, 2024, tickets for this event are sold out.
 

  • Tickets are free and are required for the concert, which is open to all MWR-eligible patrons including:
    • Military personnel, Reservists, Veterans and Retirees
    • DoD Civilian employees 
    • Contract employees
  • Military personnel, Reservists, Veterans and Retirees, and DoD Civilian employees, with valid ID, will be allowed up to 3 tickets per person. Contract employees will be allowed 1 ticket per person as they are not authorized to sponsor guests on base. Tickets will be available to all eligible patrons on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Tickets are required for all concert-goers ages 3 and up. Tickets are not required for ages 2 and under.
  • Tickets may be obtained at the Community Recreation Office, which is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • The Pax River Trusted Traveler Program will be suspended for this event, meaning visitors to base without access credentials (CAC, DoD Dependent ID, DoD Retired ID, etc.) cannot be escorted onboard without a visitor's pass from the Pax River Visitor Control Center/Pass & ID Office, open Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The office also will be open extended hours Saturday, May 11 and Saturday, May 18 from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. specifically for processing these requests. DoD Civilian dependents ages 16 and over who don’t have base access will need to go the Visitor Control Center to complete a background check and obtain a pass to enter the installation during the event. All passes must be completed by May 22, 2024. Concert tickets must be presented at the Pass & ID Office in order to obtain visitor passes.

Parking

  • Gate 1 will be available for entry and exit (subject to change; please check social media and this page for updates).
  • Upon arrival at the base, please follow event signage and the directions of security personnel for parking locations. Lots available for parking are indicated in the map below.
  • Guests requiring handicap or special needs parking should display their handicap placard prominently to be directed to the appropriate parking lot. Parking Lot C is the best option for those in need of handicap parking.

General Rules

In general, items that may be illegal, or that could cause nuisance, damage or injury to performers or audience members are not permitted inside the concert area. Security reserves the right to deny entry to anyone carrying prohibited items or those they consider dangerous.

Please be aware that all rules may be subject to change, according to the requirements of the artist.

 

Entry

  • Tickets will be required for entry to the concert area.
  • Chairs, blankets and cushions are authorized for entry to the concert area but must be removed from bags.
  • Strollers and wates will be permitted but will be subject to a security search.
  • Outside food and beverages are not permitted.
  • No pets (including designated service animals) will be permitted in the concert area.
  • All bags must be clear and measure no larger than 14”x 6”x 14”.
  • Anyone leaving the concert area will not be permitted re-entry.

 

Prohibited Items

  • Pop-up/shade tents
  • Ice chests/coolers
  • Outside food and beverages, including water bottles
  • Remote control aircraft, drones, balloons (flight safety issue)
  • All weapons, regardless of permit, including firearms, knives (including pocket knives and multi-tools), and all other items that our Security Forces deem dangerous. This rule applies to off-duty law enforcement. Any confiscated items will not be returned. 
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Drugs, including marijuana
  • CBD/THC vape pens
  • Glass containers
  • Bicycles, roller skates, roller blades, or skateboards
  • Bags that are not clear
  • Bags that are larger than 14” x 6” x14”

 

Concessions

  • Food and beverage concessions will be available on site.
  • Cash and credit card payments will be accepted.
  • Those wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages will be required to show an ID wristband. Wristbands can be obtained in the concert area at the designated ID checkpoint and will be available for ages 21+ only.VX-20: Steak/chicken quesadillas, steak/chicken cheesesteaks, grilled sausages
  • The following organizations will be selling food at the event:

    • NAS Pax River Chief Petty Officer Association: Carne asada nachos
    • NAS Patuxent River Recreational Committee: Pizza
    • NAS Patuxent River Navy Ball Committee: Chicken sandwiches & tenders
    • NMRTC Patuxent River (Base Clinic): Korean BBQ chicken & rice
    • NAVAIR HQ: Chicken kabobs & street corn

 

Smoking Policy

  • Smoking will be permitted in designated areas only.
  • CBD/THC vape pens are not permitted.
  • Drugs, including marijuana, are not permitted.

 

Photo Policy

NAS Patuxent River staff may photograph or video record participants utilizing facilities or participating in recreation programs. These photographs are for the use of NAS Patuxent River only and may be used in publications, brochures, pamphlets, flyers or video productions.

These events celebrate the resiliency of our military service members and their families, fostering a sense of community. Designed to enhance morale, readiness, and resiliency through entertainment, Operation MWR events are open to active duty members, reservists, veterans, retirees, DoD civilians, their families, and other MWR eligible patrons.
