MWR Facilities Announce Labor Day Holiday Hours

MWR Facilities will have adjusted hours of operation for the Labor Day holiday.

The driving range at Cedar Point Golf Course will be closed until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27. The range will reopen at that time. The golf course will be open according to its regular hours of operation.

Pax River Outdoor Pool Open Through Sept. 4

The Pax River Outdoor Pool will be open through Sept. 4 and will be closed for the season beginning Sept. 5. The pool is open Tuesday-Friday from 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The pool is closed on Mondays.

Riverside Beach at NRC Solomons is open Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. through Sept. 2. Beach boat rentals are available on Saturdays and Sundays from noon-6 p.m. The beach will be closed for the season beginning Sept. 3.

The Adventure Zone at NRC Solomons will switch to its off-peak hours of operation beginning Sept. 3. The Adventure Zone will be open weekends only from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. through Columbus Day.

Trunks Needed for 'Trunk or Treat'

Volunteers are needed to decorate trunks for MWR Community Recreation's 'Trunk or Treat' event on Friday, Oct. 25. Businesses, Commands, individuals, families and friends are needed to make this event - one of MWR's largest of the year - a success. Candy will be provided!
